Frequently asked questions

+Is a metal roof loud in rain?

Over solid decking and underlayment, a metal roof is no louder inside than asphalt. The noise reputation comes from barn roofs installed over open purlins.

+Does hail dent metal roofing?

Large Colorado hail can leave cosmetic dents in thinner gauges. Stone-coated steel and heavier-gauge standing seam resist it well, and function is rarely affected.

+Will snow slide off onto my walkway?

It can, which is why we design snow retention into every metal roof over an entry, driveway or deck.
